The Vans Atwood is back

The new Vans Atwood Fall ’12 proves that the brand’s collections are a true and constant challenge. Even if it didn’t make it to the Top 10 Vans Shoes of 2012, these Atwood are still a very fine model.

The California label continues to keep up with its highly creative standards developing new aesthetics, overcoming material boundaries. The Vans Atwood, part of the BMX collection, arrives with new material and color combinations for the upcoming fall season.  Leather, suede, and canvas are the main materials used on these Atwood new takes that also include an all suede version of the Mid.

The new Vans Atwood Fall ’12 is going to hit selected retailers during the upcoming months. Check them out at Vans.com

Vans History and Background:

The Van Doren Rubber Company (that was the first Vans’ ‘official’ designation) was founded way back, in 1966. Since then, the brand has established itself as one of the most important when it comes to all things skating, BMX and more.

Every teenager, sneaker fan, skater, bike rider or basically anybody that was once a kid knows about Vans. Perhaps you once wore a pair of Vans Slip-Ons, or maybe it was a pair of the Vans Sk8-Hi, or even the Old Skool.

The reality is that there is no way around the quality and radness of the label and all of its creations. During the last 40 years, the California label also managed to develop countless creative projects. Collaborations with brands like Supreme, Undefeated,  or WTAPS just to name a few, are just of their most recent and striking endeavors.

Also, and more importantly, Vans went beyond its “cool” looking ethos. With segments like Vault by Vans the sportswear label went a step further, making of high premium quality (with collections like the one with Brooks England) one of their greater powers.

Little did the Vans Doren brothers knew that from that first small store in Anaheim, California, a global sportswear brand would be born. Since 1966 and forever to the future.
