Bed J.W. Ford presents their 16SS collection

Shinpei Yamagishi and Keisuke Kosaka launched Bed J.W. Ford in 2011, and it is about as obscure as a Japanese brand can be. Even if still far off from brands like mastermind or Undercover, the Japan quality seal is all there.

For the latest SS16 collection the brand went for fewer colors, fewer materials, and fewer details. All of it combined with a design breathing military sense that made the label opt for a “Discipline” naming for the set.

The overarching theme was the pursuit of the minimalism inherent in military issue clothing. However, that is all done without the use of military tropes or over-specialized garments, infusing instead their own signature sense of style.

Discipline as seen by Bed JW Ford 2016 SS

Cutting out colors and details as much as possible was Bed J.W. Ford unique interpretation and application of discipline within this collection. At the same time, inspired to reevaluate and discipline daily life and wish for the brand clothing to instill a sense of discipline among their customers.

Lush outerwear options like navy blue suede jackets, collarless MA-1 bombers mesh well with long plaid flannel coats, fleece zip-ups, and even skinny suede pants. A really eclectic collection, juxtaposed with interesting styling. Find out more about Bed JW Ford 16SS collection at the brand’s official website.
