One quick glance at the Puma archives and you see that Puma has a long track record with collaborating with motorsport brands. From BMW, to Ferrari, they’ve been able to drop fire collabs centered around apparel, footwear, accessories and performance racewear. For their latest collab, Puma has linked up Mercedes AMG Petronas to release a bold collaborative iteration of the Puma RS-X³.
The Puma RS-X³ is Puma’s latest offering of their Puma RS-X line. The Puma RS-X³ pays homage to its 80s roots with an updated look and feel that makes it more suitable for today’s times.
The bold and exaggerated silhouette comes constructed out of a mixed material upper that utilizes mesh underlays and leather overlays. What makes the Mercedes x Puma RS-X³ AMG Petronas Motorsport stand out is the fact that it comes in a tonal Sunny Lime hue from top to bottom.
This includes the entire upper, the lining, laces and branding. The Sunny Lime motif also extends down to the sole unit of the shoe, which comes equipped with lightweight PU cushioning. So not only is the shoe a neck-turner, but it’s also exceptional in the comfort department.
Helping give the Mercedes x Puma RS-X³ AMG Petronas Motorsport a bit more of a collaborative feel is the Mercedes AMG Petronas branded tab placed on the lateral size of the heel as well as the metallic Mercedes insignia placed on the heel of the shoe.
