More than original: Nike Air Foamposite Eggplant
The swoosh brand brings back the one and only original: the Nike air Foamposite Eggplant. It is worth remembering that Penny Hardaway was the first NBA player to wear Foamposites, back in 1997.
And it was that happening that made of this silhouette an instant banger on the court and on the streets. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the silhouette, the Eggplant gets a retro makeover.
The release of the Foamposite Eggplant appears along the line of other versions of this really unique shoe. In addition, Nike continues to release major collaborative works just like the one with Loopwheeler.
The Eggplant Foams have been around since 2009
Originally released in 2009, the Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” is amongst the most sought after Foamposites of all time. During this seven-year-old release, all pairs disappeared quite fast, hence Nike decided to re-release them once again.
Its original DNA remains intact, that’s a fact, featuring Varsity Purple colorway on the upper as well as small black details on midsole, heel, tongue, and sock-liner. To finish off, the pair sits on an icy outsole.
