USA meets Italy: Ronnie Fieg x Slam Jam x Diadora collab
Three party collab: Ronnie Fieg x Slam Jam x Diadora. Kith NYC owner and designer Ronnie Fieg joined forces with known Italian retailer Slam Jam to release a multidimensional collection with Diadora.
The most recent addition to Diadora’s retro portfolio, the V7000, was the foundation.
Ronnie Fieg’s RF7000 “Primo# colour palette is a deviation of the Italian flag. It basically translates in olive, off-white and burgundy.
The characteristic that makes them unique is the asymmetrical leather toe that gives the shoe a fresh look. The mix of premium materials includes pebbled nubuck, full grain leather, and pigskin suede.
Also included are cow leather on the liner and gum rubber outsoles. On the other hand, Slam Jam redesigned the V7000 inspired by the US Navy, titling their model “Yvan” (Navy spelled backwards).
This model features a full navy upper with a utilitarian nylon vamp. The overlays are tonal pigskin suede and full grain leather. Cow leather was chosen for the liner.
The heel panel and woven tongue label are branded in Navy-inspired typography. The final touch is an aquatic blue translucent outsole.
The Ronnie Fieg x Slam Jam x Diadora RF7000 & V7000 Collection will release for $200 USD at both KITH locations (Soho & Brooklyn), Slam Jam Milan, KithNYC.com and Slam Jam Socialism.com.
