Saucony Grid 8500 now in Weave Black
Saucony’s GRID 8500 is one of the 90’s sneaker fiends. It’s also for those of us who happen to be hardcore Saucony fans.
It’s a combination of perhaps the brand’s most recognizable silhouettes. Now, we see the model return, as the Saucony Grid 8500 Weave.
The 8500’s story is one of love for the brand’s fans. Saucony, in an ode to the 90’s, combines the Grid 9000 as well as the Grid 8000 to put this one together.
The upper is a callback to the former, while the midsole and outsole remind us of the latter. Putting the two together makes for an instant classic.
This particular iteration features some interesting use of materials. A weave construction takes over the upper with suede details joining in. A speckled midsole completes the look.
The technical specs of this model are also relatively ahead of its time. The shock-absorbing EVA midsole gives way to the signature GRID cushion system. Additionally, removable insoles add a touch of personalization.
