Supreme x Dead Kennedys
No words needed when the names of a collaboration include both “Supreme” and the “Dead Kennedys”. The ultimate DIY brand gets together with the real deal when it comes to punk rock bands.
That leads to thinking that there was a time when words made a difference. There was a time when bands were banned from the TV when telling truth and fighting the establishment was part of an overall mission that seemed to make every sense.
In comes the collaboration between Supreme and the Dead Kennedys to better withstand the band’s social and political mission. Led by Jello Biafra, the Dead Kennedys were “the” American hardcore band during the late 70s and the early 80s.
‘Drug Me’, ‘Moon Over Marin’, or ‘Nazi Punks Fuck Off’ are just some of the band’s most celebrated anthems. For spring 2014, Supreme delivers a due honour to the Dead Kennedys via a collection consisting of a Work Jacket, Pullover Hoodie, Sweat Shorts, Long Sleeve Tee and three graphic T-Shirts.
The Supreme x Dead Kennedys capsule collection will be available in-store NY, LA, London and online April 10th, and in Japan on April 12th.
