Can you believe it has been more than 6 months since we got our first look at the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React Cactus Trails? Yup, way back in December the first images of the shoes were leaked. After months of speculation, rumors and anticipation, Travis Scotts’s latest collab with the Swoosh will finally be debuting this week.
This collab between the Houston artist and Nike gives the Nike Air Max 270 React a bit of a makeover as it dons plenty of collab-like easter eggs and features. Rocking a similar color palette we’ve come accustomed to seeing on past Travis Scott collabs, the Cactus Trails sneaker dons an official color scheme listed as Light Cream, Starfish, and Dark Hazel.
Unlike in-house colorways of the model, this pair comes with unique motifs such as the Travis Scott branding on the heel pull tabs and insoles and an upper that opts for a construction made up of suede, leather, and mesh. The model’s signature wavy linear panel remains intact but is greeted with finishing details such as the adjustable lace lock on the tongue, Gold-colored React sole, the fuzzy suede on the heel collar, and the mini Swoosh branding on the collar and toe box.
The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React Cactus Trails was met with mixed reviews when it was initially leaked. That being said, the shoe does appear to be “growing” on people the closer we’re getting to the release date. Are you one of the people that seems to like the shoe more, the more that you see it?
Retailing for $170, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React Cactus Trails releases on May 29th at select retailers and Nike.com.
Is this a cop or a drop? Also, where does this Travis Scott collab rank among all the other ones we’ve already seen?
