UNIQLO x JW Anderson SS18 comes with British vibes
UNIQLO joins forces, yet again, with the one and only JW Anderson. Their latest collaboration will be available for purchase soon, part of the Spring / Summer 18 drop.
Long story short, the JW Anderson UNIQLO SS18 range gathers inspiration from British heritage garments, 1950s Brighton beach to be specific. All of this rich aesthetic is fully revamped and modernized by Jonathan Anderson himself.
Featuring classics blending the best in minimal graphics with UNIQLO’s excellence in fabrics, fit and functionality, the collection results in a mix-and-match of traditional vs modern daily lifestyle options. The set includes pieces for both men and women of all age brackets.
Presenting a set of unique pieces
As expected, quite a few pieces stand out. For men, you’ve got the Work Jacket, the Stand Collar Long Sleeve Shirt and the Striped Short Sleeve Tee. They all should be part of your Spring fit-rotation, fulfilling the idea of a British Summer.
The Women’s line also displays quite a few items that deserve to be highlighted. All of them are extremely lightweight, with a lot of linen and cotton.
Among those the Linen Cotton Striped 3/4 Sleeve Blouse, the Extra Fine Cotton Long Sleeve Blouse and the Ruffle Short Sleeve Tee. Classic yet trendy, this drop will make sure that you are fully geared up for the sunny days to come.
The collection shall be available to buy at both brand’s locations by April 19th and online by April 20th. While you’re still around, have a look at the video and pictures below.
About JW Anderson
Jonathan Anderson is a Northern Irish designer that created his own brand, JW Anderson, in 2008. Staring with an exquisite line of accessories, it grabbed the world’s attention during the 2008 London Fashion Week.
JW Anderson is labeled as one of London’s most innovative and forward-thinking brands. «Its unique design aesthetic offers a modern interpretation of masculinity and femininity by creating thought-provoking silhouettes through a conscious cross-pollination between menswear and womenswear elements».
It did not take long for Mr. Anderson to create a women’s capsule collection. By 2010, when the line was introduced, the growth in demand made sure that he was present at London Fashion Week again.
However, back then with a women’s capsule collection. Known within the European, American and Asian markets, he now stocks in world renown fashion houses such as Barneys, Dover Street Market, Harrods, Matches, and Net-a-Porter.
Apart from his own brand, Jonathan Anderson has been also appointed as the Creative Director of Loewe.
Quality for Cheap
UNIQLO established back in 1984. The brand is known for providing high-quality pieces of clothing at a remarkably affordable price-tag for men, women, and kids. Pursuing evolution instead of perfection, the brand continues to strive when it comes to quality, design, and technology.
UNIQLO is rather a way of thinking, not just a brand, believing that everyone from the hypebeast kid to your dad can benefit from simple yet well-designed clothing. If you do not have any item for UNIQLO’s drops, you should. While you’re here, make sure to go back and learn more about the UNIQLO x JW Anderson FW17 collection right here.
