For Spring/Summer 2016 Universal Works presents a British take on both the classic and the contemporary. The label continues their honest approach to simple and timeless clothing.

For this particular season, they explored a range of influences as diverse as Wes Anderson films, mid-20th-century tex­tile design, and Edwardian floor tiles. The collection basically shows contemporary interpretations of these diverse ideas.

Subtly patterned fabrics, seasonal geometric patterns, tonally over dyed scout style patches and a tonal color palette with bright contrasts are all key to these seasons’ pieces.

A coherent and wearable collection, short bombers, style jackets sit with loose, tapered pant shapes alongside work jackets that fit the revived and continued interest Universal Works in workwear, loose contemporary silhouette with subtle military details.
