Back to the future with the Vans Anaheim Factory Pack
The latest Vans Anaheim Factory Pack shows us just why Vans origins are so special. The local-love brand harks back to this with the Vans Anaheim Factory Pack.
Every notable brand has a noteworthy background. From big names like Nike and Adidas to the slightly smaller Reeboks of the world, stories abound.
The story starts in 1966 when a young upstart label plants a small store in front of their factory. Vans is as much about the 60’s Cali aesthetic now as they’ve ever been.
A new take on classic designs:
Years of success and popularity see that approach remain the same. This collection shows as much, opting for key early design cues on the Vans Authentic 44, Vans Old Skool 46, and Vans Sk8-Hi 38.
Each model features a heavy helping of canvas uppers as well hints of suede. A higher profile and marshmallow sidewall add to the motif while a vulcanized finish gives everything a bright sheen.
Celebrating the brand’s early years is a nice touch. Fortunately for us, it also makes for some quality footwear.
The materials and processes for this collection do offer an interesting contrast to the current all-knit sneaker market.
Available now, you can cop yourself a pair of these oldies-but-goodies online over at Vans.
