ASICS has continued to add a unique value proposition within sneakers, cultivating retro silhouettes that capture modern markets. It’s no doubt that silhouettes like the GEL-Lyte III and GEL-LYTE V are the brand’s strongest lifestyle players, both having roots within the ‘90s running scene. Recently, the Japanese-brand teased another archived sneaker, the Skycourt, with plans of bringing back this year.
The ASICS Skycourt pays homage to OG GEL-Altitude, a Volleyball silhouette from the ‘90s era. White leathers makeup the upper, an ode to the classic construction style of this period. The pair also features a perforated toe box, while different leather overlays blend together in the same hue. The only marks of color are found through the ASICS branding, found on both the tongue and mid-panel.
The ASICS Skycourt is available now through retailers like Foot District for €85.00/$85. Take a look at official photos below and head on over to the above link to cop a pair for yourself.
