Hugh Hefner passed away at 91
Known for his self-indulgence, throwing huge parties at the Playboy mansion, Mr Hugh Hefner passed away at the age of 91. Founder of the international adult magazine Playboy, Playboy Enterprises Inc. issued a statement saying that he died peacefully of natural causes.
It is very important to know how this all started. Well, Playboy was initially created back in 1953 in his own kitchen.
From there, the sky was the limit as in its peak, the magazine used to sell 7 million copies every single month. It is true that opinions may vary with regards to Mr. Hefner. However, let’s be open-minded and accept the fact that he helped nudity, in general, to be somehow more accepted by the masses.
His net-worth did not stop growing there – he made a fortune by opening casinos and night-clubs. As known, his first cover featured Marilyn Monroe. His son, Cooper Hefner states that he was the “leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights, and sexual freedom”.
We know Playboy won’t stop, but you will be deeply missed.
