Welcome to the future with the Nike Air Vortex 17
To end the year, Nike drops a low-key new model. It isn’t exactly rife with hype, but the Nike Air Vortex 17 is a piece of the brand’s history. Though we couldn’t blame you for not remembering it, 1985 marks the Vortex’s original release.
At this point, it boasts a then superior level of comfort and lightweight support. Now, we see the model return in this retro release (the Nike Air Vortex Vintage was already released back in 2013). Part of that focus on comfort comes from material combinations.
An honest Nike Air Vortex 17 review must mention that the 2017 model returns with that motif, sporting plenty of suede. Much like the Air Pegasus line, the Vortex is released originally as a lightweight running option.
As such, we see a good use of mesh on the upper as well. The result was, and still is, a comfortable and breathable runner. A classic rubber outsole caps things off.
Out now in a selection of colors like “Wolf Grey” and “Bordeaux,” you can find the Air Vortex ’17 at Foot District. Make sure to check out our ultimate Top of the best Nike Air Vortex available to shop now.
