Sneaker Freaker x New Balance “Tassie Tiger”
Sneaker Freaker has again honored its Australian heritage with a collaborative silhouette. The footwear purveyor has joined forces with Massachusetts-based New Balance to create the 997.5 “Tassie Tiger”.
The sneaker takes its nickname from the Tasmanian Devil, an endangered native species—which resembled a cross between a dog and a wild tiger. Similarly, the silhouette combines lines from both the heralded 997 and 998 models, featuring a rich terracotta suede upper.
At the forefoot of the speckled midsole, the sneaker features triangular red “fangs,” representing the animal’s ferocious trademark bite. Look for this special release to drop online beginning July 16.
