Vans Old Skool Color-Block available
In recent years, we have witnessed skateboarding companies go through quite a difficult process to stay alive as it is a sport that is dying in certain countries. Or at least, it is a sport that you find pretty cool when in your teens, but then it is just forgotten once you get older.
Moreover, we have seen skate brands trying to get into the luxurious market: the best example would be the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Supreme.
Skate shoes or no skate for everybody
Nowadays, brands and styles are so versatile that most well-known skate brands are worn and get support from a community that does not even skate. However, Vans is one brand that stood still for the past 50 years (well, kind of).
Based in California, they are also trying to “merge” with the luxury market, as seen in the collaboration with Karl Lagarfeld. The Old Skool is a silhouette that will never stop being in fashion, hence, we get to see many iterations and colorways of that same shoe.
It is the first one from Vans to display a side stripe and as expected, another colorway has just emerged online. Super light-weight, the white textile upper altogether with rubber midsole and signature waffle sole makes this model a perfect way to end summer. Details are seen on the leather heel, block-colored midsole and metal eyelets.
