Marco Laganà presents a new collection of shoes
Marco Laganà is the founder and creative director of the eponymous footwear brand. The label was launched in 2015 and everything is developed and produced in Italy.
Marco is a fashion designer, not a “stilista”, and he prefers to be seen as an architect of fashion: «… that’s why the inspiration of all my work is different, from design to food, from architecture to industrial.», said Laganà.
“The Italian Picnic Collection” for Spring/Summer 2016 is the brand’s second collection. It appears after a well succeeded first one named “The Pop – Art Collection”.
This new set of Marco Laganà shoes maintains the sober and linear style of the previous one. However, it adds a little more character and this time for both man and woman.
The sculptural aspect is damped by the use of a raw cut edges new fabric. The collection is composed of 12 models which differ in materials, construction, and appearance.
The first four are simply the spring/ summer variation of The Pop – Art Collection. The intention is to convey a summer mood, less serious, elegant in every occasion.
The concept behind this collection comes from a vision of a 50s Italian-style picnic on a lawn. It wants to be a hymn to Italian style and to the beauty of the country, which has always been able to charm and make fall in love all those who visit it.
Overall, conceptual brand Marco Laganà presents us a cool variation of classic silhouettes with his unique twist and fresh perspective.
